This is a very short version, and if you want to know more, go to the Internet etc.
This howto is without any guarantee, and you may use it on your own responsibility only.
There may be errors, but I do not want to use too much time to write this minihowto.

Systemrescuecd is a live cd, and a very efficient linux tool, for various tasks on a linux system.
The two tools i most often are using are:
"partimage"
for backing my linux partition up (I only use two partitions: "/"
and "swap" - too keep my linux system simple)
"gparted" for creating -and formatting new partitions etc.
There are several other important programs (tools) on the live cd.
To download the systemrescuecd iso image: Download Systemrescue iso image
Always use the latest stable version.
Burn the iso image into a live cd, using e.g. the "k3b" burning program.
To use the live cd, insert the cd into the cd slot, and boot the computer.
At the "boot:" prompt press "enter" (press the F1...F5 etc buttons for help, if you have problems)
When the keymap dialog shows up, press the letters of your country e.g. "dk" for Denmark etc "enter"
At
the % prompt press "startx" - "enter" to get into the graphics windows
manager area, in order to for example start "gparted" which is a
graphics program
(open a konsole).
When finished right click in the desktop area, and choose "exit" (or press "ctrl+alt+del" to reboot).
When you come to the % prompt, press "su" - "enter" and then "shutdown -h now" - "enter" (to shutdown the computer).
